This year we stayed home for Thanksgiving and had friends over to celebrate the day. Usually, I hate to cook, but for some reason I love preparing all the holiday dishes made famous by my mother and grandmother. I do not understand why this is so, but it works for me so I’m just going with it.
To everyone who showed up for the 100th Post Blarty — I love you! You truly exceeded my expectations, to say the least. Y’all make me proud.
And, you may have noticed the look of the blog has been changing all weekend. My blogbase has a very specific list of demands, NONE of which can be satisfied by any one wordpress template. So, unless somebody out there wants to come over and design me a website, I’m stuck with this. Until I get bored with it and change it again, that is.
Thanks to Dan and April for documenting our holiday festivities; unlike me, the negligent mother whose children’s only memory of this Thanksgiving will be that their parents drank a lot of mulled wine and killed at Taboo.

That’s what friends are for, right?!

Okay, thanks for throwing your 100 party while I was dying. Sorry I missed it. Looks like it was a great party.

Cat–we missed you!!! Yeah, the timing was weird, and not everyone got to play. Don’t worry though, that will not be the last blarty that happens on this blog.

I love that my bride and I have this killer connection that makes us deadly at Taboo. We TOTALLY challenge the Internet–find a couple who can beat us!

Yeah…I don’t like it that much either. But we can’t all get what we want because my favorite template does not have numbered comments and I know how the world will end if there are no numbered comments.
Sorry about the blue Jenny…I’ll keep looking.

I am so excited to have made your blog! Sweet! I was watching the launch to 1000, thought about participating, but then refrained to let those who do the real work of commenting daily reap the reward. Very exciting stuff!

People, I stayed up last night past midnight searching through blog templates and fiddling with custom headers finally creating my own header so as to have BLUE but kinda flowery and also one with numbered comments, links I needed–ALTHOUGH–this theme does not separate my links into “blogroll” and “resources” but then, we all make sacrifices…in short, you will all love it end of story.
Now, Holly, what would you like to say regarding moving vans and house hunting? I’m happy for y’all! You need to be back in the South for a while–keeps you sane.
Dan, of course you are blogworthy! But don’t be shy–comment away. You would have certainly helped our effort move along more quickly, though 1000 comments in 4 hours is a most admirable accomplishment.
